Snow is a small, FREE application that drifts snowflakes down the screen accompanied by the gentle sound of sleigh bells and now music! It started as a quick hack I wrote last year. People seem to like it, so here is a new version with more goodies:
* Select flurries, steady or blizzard conditions
* Adjustable sleigh bell volume (including "off")
* Automatically resume the flakes when your Mac sits idle
* MUSIC! P□lays QuickTime music files
* Includes PowerMac native code (fat binary)
The basic flakes and sleigh bells should work on any Mac. Music requires QuickTime(tm) 2.0 or later. Automatic wake up requires System 7 or later.
Includes ten QuickTime music files of jazzed up holiday favorites. Being musically inept, I didn't create them. I found them as MIDI files at Les Herman's Web site (http://www.qni.com/~lesherm/xmas.htm) and include them here with his permission.
Snow is *FREE*. I do request prior approval to include it in any mass distribution such as a CDROM or book. I also appreciate a copy of each such distribution if possible.
See the About box in the Snow application for additional information.
